Sneakerhead of Bollywood Industry - Ranbir Kapoor.

you are gonna always find Ranbir Kapoor wearing unique and rare sneakers which indeed comes with a hefty price tag. In one of his interviews he revealed that he owns more than 400 pairs of sneakers. He has got everything from sneaker giant brands like NIKE, ADIDAS to luxury powerhouse brands like Louis vuitton and GUCCI. Lets check out his most expensive pairs he has in his sneaker collection.

1. JORDAN 1 FRAGMENTS.


Probably the most expensive sneaker on the list. The Jordan 1 fragments has its own fan base. It’s a collaboration between Hiroshi Fujiwara and Nike, it became superhit. The sneaker released back in 2015 and since then it has been on wishlist of many Sneakerheads around the world. The leather on sneaker looks premium and the colour royal blue with white finish with makes it pop. Ranbir Kapoor was spotted wearing these on football field.

The retail price on them were $165 but its current market value is more than ₹ 4,00,000.


2. YEEZY MILITARY BOOT


Combat style boot introduced by ADIDAS YEEZY brand. Pretty hard boot to blend into the outfit because the cut of the boot is high and if you are a short guy then staying away from these boots is a better option. Well Ranbir has got the height and the confidence to wear them out. Kanye West has styled these same boots with grey jeans and a short sleeve pink crewneck sweatshirt.

3. NIKE JORDAN 1 x DIOR.

The sneaker which made internet go crazy and the price tag on these gave goosebumps to many Sneakerheads. The Dior x Air Jordan 1 High sneakers are the first collaboration between Luxury powerforce brand and sneaker giant. Comprising of wolf grey and sail white leather these Dior Jordan 1 is a new take on historic silhouette, and unique Grey Dior Monogram swoosh logo makes the sneaker even more appealing to consumers.

Dior and Jordan Brand have made only 8500 pairs which makes it extremely difficult to get hands on one. Somehow Ranbir Kapoor has managed to get one and he was spotted wearing them on Mumbai airport.

The sneaker comes at a whopping price of more then ₹ 2,00,000.



4. NIKE OFF WHITE VAPORMAX.


Nike considers this model as one of most iconic silhouette. Within the sneaker community some like it and some think that they are trash. Same thing happened with off - white vapormax in the beginning but later when sneaker enthusiasts paid attention to the details, everyone wanted to own one. Sneaker comes with a clean transparent Vapormax wild looking Air sole unit, reflecting Virgil's design of simplicity and raw material palette it's enough to give the sneaker a deconstructed look to it.

The retail price on them is ₹ 25,000

The resale value on these is more than ₹ 1,00,000.


5. JORDAN 1 ROYAL

Some may love the Chicago's, the bred’s but many love the Royals. The sneaker holds a special place in Michael Jordan's heart. It was his favourite colour combination.

Ranbir Kapoor wore it casually with a t-shirt and denim shorts.

The resale price on them is more than ₹ 40,000 on StockX.



6. TIMBERLAND.

These boots were invented back in 1973. Rugged, well crafted and an innovative injection molding technique gave it the perfect look. The premium tan boots set new standards for waterproof performance in footwear industry. Quickly became popular among workers who needed protection in all conditions. Then in early 2000's the boot entered the Hip Hop industry and since then every rapper and music artist must have worn these boots once.

Boots are retailed at ₹10,000.


7. JORDAN 1 BRED

Popularly known as Breds and also known as Banned Jordan 1. As per NBA rules the sneaker which the players wear need to be 51% white and that's why Nike had to pay $5000 as fine every game in which Michael Jordan was wearing it. There is no debate that these original black and red colourway is the most legendary sneaker of all time.

The sneaker is priced at more than $500 on StockX. 


8. JORDAN 3 BLACK CEMENT.


Jordan III has an interesting history attached to it the shoe made Michael Jordan stay with the brand. Michael Jordan won his first ever SLAM DUNK contest in 1988 wearing the JORDAN III.

Mr. Tinker Hatfield the famous designer was the one who designed Jordan III. Now this sneaker has a different fan base in the sneaker industry.

The sneaker is retail priced at ₹16,000.


9. JORDAN 1 OFF WHITE.



Most hyped sneaker from Virgil Abloh's "The Ten" collection. The shoe features “AIR” typography on the midsole, as well as an orange hit on the heel, which seems to imitate a price sticker. The lateral Swoosh also appears to be pinned to the upper instead of fully stitched.

10. AIR MAX 1 ATMOS


This sneaker originally released back in 2006 and instantly became a holy grail for many Sneakerheads. It's combination of elephant print overlays and striking accent made it very attractive among other sneakers. This Collab brought back the AIR MAX 1 silhouette to lime light once again. On StockX the sneaker is priced more than ₹ 70,000. Paparazzi clicked Ranbir wearing these kicks on streets of Bandra.



11. AIR COMMAND FORCE.


The AIR COMMAND FORCE originally released back in 1991 became a classic through its unique fit and shock absorbing innovation. It has got a special AIR FIT technology. Ranbir Kapoor wore it while returning to Mumbai airport styling it with Vintage t shirt and vintage washed denim.



12. Jordan 1 pine green


One of the new colour ways of JORDAN 1 continuing with MJ's legacy. Sneaker released in the year 2018. A fresh tumbled leather around the heel, toe box and swoosh finishing it with black tumbled leather and laces give it a premium look.

The price of these sneaker is more than ₹ 30,000.
